There has been a huge explosion of the amount of custom-developed content online. What is needed in today’s educational ecosystem are large volumes of content needed for self-paced, online delivery. However, resources remain internal, limited, and inefficient in terms of both content and monetary means to delivery e-learning outlets. More and more, learners are increasingly seeking more dynamic, interactive, and rich learning content.

Multi-sensory integration into educational practices has been noted to be effective increasing learning. We learn best when we stimulate multiple senses at once. Video lessons are one way to stimulate many senses at once.

The Assignment:

YouTube YouTeach is an exercise that encourages students to teach their own lesson plan while utilizing in multi-sensory techniques themselves. Students are assigned to create a 5 minute video is 5 steps and post it on youtube with a zero budget.

In my video I taught my dog, Milo, how to fetch, and in the process, strengthened my audio/visual skill sets, and pedagogical practice.
