Writing Learning Outcomes
Learning outcomes are more precise that objectives, which are even more specific than goals for students. Learning outcomes describe how knowledge, skills, and dispositions expected of students are acquired. Additionally, they describe the ways in which students will demonstrate these competencies, as well as the criteria of for evaluating student success. Learning outcomes imply standards for assessment, meaning that there are rubrics to for assessing this achievement.
